Day 8 provided a few likely looking games. We had some F.A Cup replays kicking off at 7.45pm which looked like having some obvious favourites for the tie, which in turn held over 0.5 goals potential. In those failed we had a couple of 8pm kick offs to fall back on.
My preferred pick was Wimbledon at home to non-league Sutton Utd. Despite a stalemate at the first attempt, I fancied Wimbledon to progress. However a goal within 10 minutes scuppered that plan.
Never mind. With that option gone, I instead decided to plump for Barnsley v Blackpool. This game also ended 0-0 a couple of weeks ago, but I fancied at least one goal to come tonight, probably from Barnsley as they fielded a full strength line up which had served them well so far in the League.
With 22 minutes gone odds had already dropped to 1/9. Lines up looked solid, match stats showed plenty of shots coming in and I was hooked. The bet of £24.11 was on!
Just 8 minutes later my hunch was rewarded! At least in part. There was a goal, but my tipster powers didn't envisage it would be Blackpool to break the deadlock, but that's what happened on 30 minutes. Not that it mattered much to me. The best thing that can happen during these bets are for the goals to come in so quickly. Stress levels remain low!
So, now that's 8 bets down, just 41 more to go! Our pot creeps up to £26.79
